I know most people will bend over and take it, but if I was constantly pulled over for a "loud exhaust" when it was clearly a quiet exhaust, I would file complaints against the officers for harassment. I would ask that they prove that the exhaust was too loud according to the law, and if they cannot prove it and still continued to pull you over, I would go after them in court. I know most people think they are powerless against the police, but in reality, the police are working for the people, and a knowledgeable lawyer will tear the officer apart in court. A friend of mine was in a lot of trouble with the law a few months back, and he had multiple driving while suspended charges, warrants out for his arrest, large fines etc. He went to court the first time and the cops and prosecutor tried to intimidate him saying they were going to throw him in jail if he pleaded not guilty, and they tried to make him plead guilty. The judge didn't even want to hear his case. He walked out of court and hired a well known lawyer in the area. He was expensive, but man did he tear the police apart. To make a long story short, all charges were dropped, he was given written apologies from the township, and the police and prosecutor were kissing his ass when he left the courtroom. The lawyer caught them overstepping their bounds and abusing their power, and they knew it. Never take shit from them, we are in control.
